Eirini Nikopoulou is a Greek journalist-film professional who has been exploring film industry not only on the grounds of being enhanced to the oeuvre of great both past and forthcoming directors, as a film critic, but also on the grounds of getting to be informed for all latest technological developments so as identify the new forms of the film language, as an Events and Film Festivals Executive.
Her studies on Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University, Athens, Greece have provided her the theoretical background of what would later on become her practical field of action. Artistic set up, development, programming, Press office and Communication expansion have been her main responsibilities through various cultural projects. Web Content Coordination, writing and editors’ team management, have helped her adjust and expand her previous experience on writing in a whole new venture.
Her working practice urged her to use all necessary skills to achieve along with her associates the conceptual set up and implementation of various film and music projects. Among other events she has contributed to the setup, production development, Communication expansion and Press Office facilities to the following film festivals: 2006 and 2007 Berlinale in Athens tribute film Festivals, 1st Corinthian International Film Festival on 2008, 3rd and 5th Cyprus International Film Festivals on 2008 and 2010, Psarokokalo International Short Film Festival on 2010.
She has always been very interested in watching closely all theoretical and form developments in the film industry. She has attended “The Greek Documentary Lab for Co-productions” organized by EDN in Athens.
Lately she has been working as an executive producer for the short film “Waltz”.
