While wearing various hats, with iPhone Film Festival, he is the Senior Contributor. He essentially assists with the watching of countless submissions and narrowing down to the basic finalist. His technic of analyzing films is unconventional, yet thought provoking. He doesn’t concentrate on the actor’s names, or their past big hits; He focuses on how they are portraying their craft at that very moment, in the film they’ve submitted. To assume a film will be successful simply by interjecting a major name to the scene is a recipe for failure in Miguel’s eyes. Before passing judgment on a film, he considers the craftsmanship and content “weight” of the film. The film must make its audience feel, it must pull an emotional reaction.
It must grab and take a hold of the audience and make us not want to take our eyes away from the screen.
